TBU International:
Established in 2002, TBU International, is a concept design driven company with a rich background in Architecture, Site Planning, & Landscape design.
For over 20 years, our founding member Norman Harris, has worked in and led many national and international design teams. Born in Tonga, he worked in construction for 10 years before getting his education at the School of Architecture at the University of Hawaii. He received their top design award and after working a few years with top architecture firms, WATG and Belt Collins, he forged his own unique path; merging his strong construction background with an uncanny aptitude of capturing uncompromising design vision.
Whether large exciting hospitality projects or small residential yards, he contends that the basis for good design remains the same ‘……good design is neither a product of cost or size….’ and why he is grateful that his design foundation was rooted first in construction prior to a formal education at the school of architecture. To that, he expressed….’because I started in construction, l was not really concerned with HOW to build my design vision; I was intuitively focused on WHY my design work had merit…..’ Design work forged from the best of both worlds, pragmatic and exciting…!!

Step 2. Vision
Provide topographic maps, plans, project location, historical context, and site vision (e.g., sunset, lake, ocean view).
Step 3. Design Creation
We’ll deliver the design within 10 days after receiving the info from steps 1 and 2.
Step 4. Revisions
Request changes at no charge, as long as the scope from step 1 remains the same.
